About

PLA@48

Welcome to Phalen Leadership Academies at Louis B. Russell, Jr. School 48, a tuition-free public Innovation Network School serving pre-kindergarten through 6th grade. As part of the Phalen Leadership Academies (PLA) network, we provide a calm, supportive, and culturally rich learning environment where every scholar is valued and encouraged to excel.

At PLA@48, our educators use data-driven instruction, small-group learning, and a rigorous, personalized curriculum to ensure each scholar receives the support they need to master essential academic skills. Through individualized attention and differentiated learning, scholars grow in confidence, curiosity, and character.

Beyond the classroom, we offer a range of enrichment opportunities—including intramural sports, STEM activities, after-school clubs, and more. These experiences help scholars explore their interests, build leadership skills, and connect learning to the real world.
